clipped from www.readwriteweb.com Netflix Launches Preemptive Strike Against Apple - Unlimited Streaming With Apple expected to announce iTunes movie rentals at the Macworld conference this week, Netflix eased the restrictions on its movie streaming service.  Starting today, all subscribers save those on the cheapest Netflix plan will have access to unlimited online video streaming from among the company's 6,000+ movie online library.  This is seen as a preemptive strike against Apple, who may also tie their 24-hour iTunes movie rental service into their AppleTV set-top box product. Apple's forthcoming service, on the other hand, is expected to be compatible with both the iPod and iPhone as well as possibly the AppleTV, which means more viewing options for consumers.  By removing time constraints on viewing, something that users of Apple's 24-hour rental service will still need to contend with, Netflix hopes that consumers will overlook the relatively restricted viewing options.

In the 19 months we’ve been live and real and growing, an enormous amount has changed. We’ve learned a lot and built a site that is hard to recognize compared to where we started. And the key is we. There are now 125,000 squids, and we’ve built more than 300,000 pages. Not only has the content grown, but our traffic has grown as well. We’re three to five times bigger than anyone else we compete with. Nobody else is even close in traffic, pages, users, etc. Google Analytics reports more than 6 million unique visitors a month and approximately twice that in visits. Working together,  we’ve raised well over $100,000 for charity. We’ve built a school in Southeast Asia and supported dozens of other charities as well. What is Squidoo?

Boy, it's going to be a hot one today. It looks like its going to in the 90's all week. Hey, it beats shoveling snow.

So what's the scoop on Squidoo? Squidoo is a new Seth Godin site that lets you create a lens about a topic you're an expert in. I'm new to this but I had a blast creating this lens page. You can help other people get information about a topic without all the hunting. Squidoo also can improve traffic to your website. You can even earn a royalty to your favorite charity. I'm not exactly sure how this works. My charity will be the Mully Children's Family. Charles Mulli founded this orphanage for the street kids of Kenya. Our church Ada Bible supports this ministry.

My husband and I are looking into doing motivational training on Skype called Skypecasting. This looks really cool but we need to do a little more research on this one.

My family and are going camping today at the Yogi Bear Park. My kids love Yogi! And they have a POOL!
